Your information, explained

This policy describes the information Lyne Social may handle to provide its social networking features. The exact features available can vary by deployment.

Information you provide

When you create or use an account, the service may process details such as your name, email address, username, profile image, and the posts, replies, reactions, follows, and messages you choose to create. Do not share information you would not want available to the people who can view that content.

How information is used

Account and activity information is used to operate the service—for example, to sign you in, show your profile and feed, deliver messages and notifications, support search, and enforce account and safety controls.

Sessions, cookies, and security

Lyne Social uses a necessary session cookie to keep you signed in and protect authenticated actions. The cookie is not a public profile field. Keep your credentials private and sign out on shared devices. Passwords are stored as one-way password hashes rather than readable text.

Sharing and service providers

Your public profile and public posts may be visible to other users. Private messages are intended for their conversation participants. Information may also be processed by hosting, database, authentication, or file-storage providers that help operate the service, subject to the configuration of the deployment. The service does not sell your password or session cookie.

Retention and your choices

Account data and content are retained as needed to provide the service and according to the service operator’s retention practices. You can edit profile details and manage your activity through available account controls. For account removal or a privacy request, contact the service operator using the support channel provided for your deployment.

Children and policy updates

Lyne Social is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact the service operator. This policy may be updated when the service or its data practices change; the effective date above indicates the latest revision.
